Front Desk Student Assistants

Alondra Ramirez, Front Desk Student Assistant

Alondra Ramirez

Alondra joined the Front Desk team in August 2018 and will be graduating Spring of 2022 with a degree in Social Work. Alondra enjoys painting in her spare time and reading a good book. When asked why students should use Career Center services, she said "I believe students should take advantage of the Career Center services to better plan out their future. The Career Center provides many services that help educate students on their future careers and how to best go about them."

 

 

 

Ashley Cox, Front Desk Student Assistant

Ashley Cox

Ashley joined the Front Desk team in August 2017 and will be graduating Spring 2022 with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. Ashley enjoys spending time with friends and spending time outdoors. When asked why students should use Career Center services, Ashley said "There are so many services that the Career Center provides that will prepare students for their career and make them feel ready to graduate."

 

 

 

Diya Sonani

Diya Sonani front desk student assistantDiya joined the Front Desk team in December 2021 and will graduate May 2025 with a degree in Marketing and minor in Human Resource Development. For fun, Diya likes to read, do photoshoots for friends, watch shows and movies, and edit pictures she has taken on her camera or phone making them look brighter and better! When asked why students should use Career Center services, Diya said "Many students struggle to figure out what they want to accomplish with their lives, but they are unaware that there is always someone to help and speak to. We have professionals at the Career Center who can help a student figure out their passion so that they can pursue their ideal career. There are so many resources available to assist students in obtaining an internship, a campus job, or a job before graduation."

 

Joey O'Sullivan Joey O'Sullivan, Front Desk Assistant

Joey joined the Front Desk team in May 2021 and will be graduating Spring 2024 with a degree in Art with a concentration on two-dimensional arts. Joey likes to spend time with friends, watch movies, and sketch in his free time. When asked why students should use Career Center services, Joey said "They are very helpful for supplying those who are new to a more professional world with skills that will become invaluable later down the road."

 

 

 

Student Employment Programs Student Assistants

 

Alyssa Robben

Alyssa Robben, student employment programs headshotAlyssa joined the Student Employment Programs team in January 2021 and will be graduating May 2023 with a degree in Interior Architecture Design and minor in Construction Management. For fun, Alyssa loves to bike, be creative (especially crocheting), and playing with her cat. When asked why students should use Career Center services, Alyssa said "It [Career Center] can offer gateways into networking especially when trying to find an internship or a job after graduation, also because it's all for the betterment of students and there is a plethora of benefits like resume checks and the interview practice."

 

 

Franko Teston, Student Employment Programs Student Assistant

Franko Teston

Franko joined the Student Employment Programs team in August 2021 and will be graduating Fall of 2022 with a degree in Psychology. For fun, Franko enjoys writing, recording music, and skateboarding. When asked why students should use Career Center services, Franko said "The Career Center is a fantastic free student resource for professional development. We offer resume reviews, career counseling, mock interviews, and much more!"

 

 

 

Olivia Alexander, Student Employment Programs Student Assistant

Olivia joined the Student Employment Programs team in November 2019 and will be graduating Fall of 2022 with a degree in Nursing and a minor in Spanish. For fun, Olivia enjoys watching Netflix with her dogs. When asked why students should use Career Center services, Olivia said "It's a great opportunity for students to better themselves as a student and a leader. Also, their services are free!"

 

 

 

Career Peer Advisors

Aubree Cole, Career Peer Advisor

Aubree Cole

Aubree joined the Career Peer Advisor team in August 2019 and will be graduating Spring of 2022 with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and three minors in Psychology, Linguistics, and English as a Second Language. Aubree enjoys being involved in campus organizations such as State Dance Marathon, Alpha Sigma Alpha, and the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association. She also enjoys reading books, going for jogs, listening to Spotify, watching TV shows, playing games, and of course spending time with her friends and family! When asked why students should use Career Center services, she said "I believe students should the Career Center services because they provide students with knowledge and skills necessary to be successful once they [students] graduate. Knowing how to write resumes, prepare cover letters, and interview well are the first steps to obtaining your dream job! The Career Center helps students to be ready for the future!"

 

 

Jillian Pelikan, Career Peer Advisor

Jillian joined the Career Peer Advisor team in March 2019 and will be graduating Spring of 2022 with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. In her free time she enjoys running, baking, scrapbooking, and spending time with family. When asked why students should use Career Center services, she said "Students should use the Career Center Services because the wide variety of opportunities and services offered are a great way for students to begin their professional journey and establish the skills necessary for their future careers."

EB Kerby

EB joined the Career Peer Advisor team in March 2021 and will be graduating in May of 2023 with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. On campus, EB is involved in Zeta Tau Alpha and the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association. In her free time, she enjoys running, playing games, and spending time with her family. When asked why students should use Career Center services, she said, “Students should utilize the Career Center because it provides students with many opportunities to develop their professional skills, network with potential employers, and overall prepare them for their future.”

 

 

Graduate Assistants

Alexa Gerling

Alexa joined the Career Center as the Internship Scholarship Program Graduate Assistant in August 2020 and will be graduating Spring of 2022 with a M.S. degree in Student Affairs and Higher Education. Alexa enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family. When asked why students should use Career Center services, she said "Students should utilize the Career Center because it helps them be as prepared as possible for the job market. The Career Center wants students to succeed now and in the future."

 

Cristina Arroyo, GA

Cristina Arroyo

Cristina joined the Career Center as the Career Programming Graduate Assistant in August 2020 and will be graduating Spring of 2022 with a M.S. degree in Student Affairs and Higher Education. Cristina enjoys hanging out with friends and her dog, reading, drawing, and playing video games. When asked why students should use Career Center services, Cristina said "I believe students should use Career Center services because we help develop your professional development which will strive you to be successful in your desired career!"

 

Lucy Gay, Graduate Assistant for the Career Center

Lucy joined the Career Center as the Assessment and Reporting Graduate Assistant in August 2021 and will be graduating Spring of 2023 with a M.S. degree in Student Affairs and Higher Education. Lucy loves to read, watch crime shows, and hang out with her cat! When asked why students should use Career Center services, Lucy said "Because of the multitude of resources and opportunities that the staff works to provide for ISU students!"
