Kollath-Phillip

Phillip L. KollathMr. Kollath is a native of Fishers, Indiana and graduated Hamilton Southeastern High School in 1985.  Mr. Kollath earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Management from Oakland City University and his Master of Arts in Intelligence Studies through American Military University.  Mr. Kollath also completed the Navigating Strategic Change certification from Kellogg School of Management in Chicago, Illinois.  Mr. Kollath currently has 33 years of local, state, and federal public service experience. 

Upon high school graduation, Mr. Kollath enlisted in the US Army and served in Communications, Infantry and Intelligence units from detachment to corps level with assignments in Continental United States and overseas units.  Mr. Kollath has been awarded several meritorious awards and campaign ribbons. Mr. Kollath officially retired from the US Army and Indiana Army National Guard on 17 June 2006.

Mr. Kollath served as a paid part-time Firefighter II/EMT for Westfield Washington Township Fire Department in Westfield, IN from 1997 to 2001. 

In May 2006, Mr. Kollath was appointed as an Intelligence Analyst with the FBI and completed his basic intelligence training at the FBI Academy at Quantico, Virginia.  Upon completion of the academy, Mr. Kollath was sent to FBI Headquarters to the Public Corruption/Civil Rights Intelligence Unit and then reported in October 2006 to FBI Phoenix Division, Yuma Resident Agency (RA) as an Operational Analyst for counterterrorism, criminal and counterintelligence cases.  April through July 2008, Mr. Kollath was deployed overseas in Iraq as an All-Source Analyst and represented the FBI while embedded in Department of Defense units.  In October 2008, Mr. Kollath was assigned to FBI Headquarters – Counterterrorism Division at the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) where he was an Intelligence Analyst over multiple counterterrorism cases in support of 11 FBI Field Divisions and worked with USIC partners on International Terrorism matters.  In November 2009, Mr. Kollath was re-assigned to FBI Indianapolis, Fort Wayne RA. In August of 2011, Mr. Kollath was assigned to FBI Indianapolis Headquarters Safe Streets and Violent Crime Task handling all intelligence matters for violent crime and gangs.  As of October 2016, Mr. Kollath was embedded on the Counterterrorism Intelligence team handling counterterrorism matters for the Joint Terrorism Task Force. 

Mr. Kollath has completed the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) Intelligence Community Advanced Analyst Program (ICAAP) and is certified as an FBI Adjunct Instructor.  Mr. Kollath also received the Intelligence Integration Unit Citation from the Director of National Intelligence in 2014 as a member of the Indianapolis Field Intelligence Group.  Additional awards and honors include are FBI Certificate of Achievements (3), Meritorious Service Medal (3), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medals (4), Army Achievement Medals (6), Humanitarian Service Medal, and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
