We are gearing up for the April 2024 Eclipse. Check back for exciting information.


The John Hook Memorial Observatory offers nighttime viewing of the Moon, planets, nebulae, and galaxies. 

Check our social media pages to find out if the observatory will be open that day. Facebook or Instagram

Visits to the observatory are free and open to the public. 

The observatory is located on the roof of the Science Building and is accessed via the front entrance of the Science Building located on the south side of the building facing the ISU fountain.   Access to the roof is by way of a small staircase next to the elevator on the third floor.
