Schism is about a man trying to find understanding about his psychiatrist's questions.  While also trying to hide his mental decline, our protagonist enters scenarios just as real as we perceive them.  The scenes created are those of what could be imagined by someone daydreaming, while others take on a certain cartoonish mindset covering serious issues.  But whether he is a false narrator or there is truth behind everything that has happened is up to the viewer.

With Tranquility I wanted to do something that was calming, something that I personally enjoyed and found relaxing.  The video takes place in locations that give a sense of calmness; churches, small ponds, and a grand library, to represent areas in which an individual would find peace and quiet.  But also be left to think about their place in the world.  Overall, Tranquility is a piece about finding peace and just trying to relax in this hectic world we live in.

Brothers is a piece about the archetype of a few things.  The first is the archetype of the lost brothers.  While outwardly appearance would dictate neither man is related, they are more akin than many would assume.  The black brother himself was born into a world who could care less of him, while the other brother was born into everything a child could want.  The second archetype is that of Nature versus Nurture.  The black man, while born into nothing, was given the tools to see the good in others.  While the other brother who is supposed to be a man of god is more evil than what he realizes, taking on a deific pose and gilding himself in a halo adorned in blackened silver, not realizing that the evil that doesn't know it is evil is the worst kind.

Owen Alexander Williams will be graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art with a 2D Concentration.
