Senior Exhibition Spring 2016

Join us in celebrating the accomplishments of this semester's graduating students in the Department of Art and Design. Each senior has several pieces of art on display in the University Art Gallery, showcasing the skills and knowledge that have been acquired while Indiana State University.

This semester's exhibition also celebrates the memory of Jacara Buchana. Early in the semester, the department was saddened to learn of the sudden death of Jacara, an art major who was due to graduate this summer. While trying to process this loss of one of our own, faculty shared their observations of Jacara. She was described as: talented, quiet, hard-working, reserved, committed, receptive, inspiring, graceful, responsible, self-motivated, determined, strong and beautiful.  Her natural sense of humor and glowing smile were evident to all.  As a gesture of our support to her family and friends, this year’s senior exhibition is dedicated to Jachara.
