Institute Main PageToll Free: 888-488-0959The Institute of Criminology is dedicated to furthering knowledge of the criminal justice field through research and exploration of a manifold of topics. Some of these include, but are not limited to, terrorism, community policing, and street gangs. The Institute has relationships with agencies worldwide, and assists these agencies in applying criminal justice research to the field. The Institute also has a relationship with the Correctional Training Institute of the Indiana Department of Correction. Through this relationship, the Institute is able to arrange, coordinate, and conduct training seminars for the IDOC. A flagship program of the Institute is its distance education program. Sponsored by the Institute, this program allows for students to obtain the same degrees as a traditional on-campus student without ever actually having to come to campus. This program has students from around the United States and around the world! This program keeps with the Institute's commitment of furthering the criminal justice field worldwide.
Criminal Justice Information Center This is a one stop clearing house for criminal justice information. It contains links to law enforcement agencies, correctional associations, courts, and research links. For students who are not able to pursue the traditional path to an undergraduate or graduate degree, this program will allow for completion of a degree from one's own location. Formed by faculty and graduate students interested in terrorism and its implications on society, the information here is compiled to help one understand the concept of terrorism. This page provides information on our partnership with the Indiana Department of Correction.
