Edward B. Motley, M.S.

Edward B. Motley served as the Deputy Commissioner of Operation for the Department of Correction. Mr. Motley retired from that position in 2007. He began his career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons as Correctional Officer at the Metropolitan Correction Center, Chicago, IL. Assigned to eleven different federal correctional facilities with various levels of responsibilities and ending as Warden at the Federal Detention Center, Philadelphia, PA. Ed served two years with the U. S. Army and was stationed in Vietnam and Fort Leonardwood, Missouri. After working twenty-three years for the federal government, he retired.

He is currently a member of the following associations: American Correctional Association, Pennsylvania Prison Warden’s Association, International Chief of Police Association and North American Association of Wardens and Superintendents.

Mr. Motley’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, Wayne State University and Master of Science in Management, Salve Regina University.
