One of the responsibilities of the
Office of Information Technology (OIT) is to facilitate the internal
and external communications on matters of technology at Indiana
State University. Through input from various stakeholder groups, OIT
has developed a comprehensive communication strategy related to
technology for faculty and students. This strategy has recently
expanded to include academic publications as well. In working on
this strategy OIT has identified and implemented best practices for
communicating to its campus constituencies. In the fall of 2006 the
publications arm of OIT won four national awards from the
Association of Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on
University and College Computing Services related to its
communication activities. This followed three national awards in the
pervious year.
