adding tools to the course menu

Return to tutorial list

Login into your Blackboard course. Click on the "+" icon in the left upper corner of Course Navigation, then click on the Create Tool Link option.

 

Enter a Name for the Tool.

 

Select Type. If there is an (u) next to a tool, that means the tool is not available. We need to go to Tool Availabilities under Customization in Control Panel to make it available.

 

Click on Customization in Control Panel, then click Tool Availability link.

 

Check the check boxes next to Blog and Blogs.

Scroll down and click Submit button.

Back to Add Tool Link window. Check the checkbox if you want to make it Available to Users. Click Submit button to finish.

The tool we just created will be shown in the Course Navigation pane.

Put the cursor over to the edge of the button until you see the Move sign (), we can easily drag the button to change its location.
