Copy an Existing Course to Another Course

If you are the instructor or TA of one course and you want to copy all or part of your course to another course where you are also the instructor or TA, this is a handy utility.

First you need to logon to Blackboard, enter your the course you want to copy, in Control Panel area click on the Packages and Utilities, find Course Copy link and click on it.

In the Course Copy screen. select the Copy Course Materials into an Existing Course Link.

To locate the destination course, click on the Browse button.

A listing of all the courses where you are an instructor or TA will be displayed. Select the course where you want to copy your current course. Click on Submit.

Then, you can select what you want to copy by putting a check mark next to the item.

Please DO NOT check the Include Enrollments in the Copy box for a regular course copy because once this option is checked blackboard will copy enrollments in the previous one over to the new course.

Click on Submit.

You will receive a massage saying course copy action queued, an email will be sent when the process is complete.

Now, you can go to your destination course, and you will find that you have successfully copied the course.
