Return to tutorial list

To add questions, log on to Blackboard, select your course and click on Course Tools in the Course Management area.

Click on Tests, Surveys, and Pools in the drop-down menu.

Click on the Tests link.

All the tests you have created will be shown on the screen.

Find the test that you want to add questions. Click on the drop-down arrow next to it and click on Edit.

Click on the Create Question icon, and select Ordering from the drop-down menu.

Enter your statement for the question and assign point.

Select the appropriate options. You can determine the type of answer numbering to use. You can also decide whether partial credit will be allowed. Select the number of answers you will need from the Number of Answers drop-down menu and then enter your answers to the questions in the correct order. The number of answers should be equal to the number of steps in the ordering process. For example, if there is a ten-step process or procedure students must follow to create a project, then there should be 10 answers. If you want to reduce the number of answers, click on the Remove button next to the answer name.

Once you have entered the process or procedure steps, click on the Next button to finish the question.

You can control the order in which the answers are presented. Click on the icon next to Display Order, select the one that you want to change order and click on the upward and downward arrow to change order. The new order will be shown on the left side below Correct Order.

Feedback is your opportunity to reinforce correct responses or to give corrective feedback.

Enter Correct Response Feedback if necessary.

Enter Incorrect Response Feedback if necessary.

You may want to define Categories and Keywords if necessary

When finished, click on Submit to add the question.

A new screen appears and your ordering question has now been created.
