Creating an Essay Question

To add questions, log on to Blackboard, select your course and click on Course Tool in the Course Management area.

Click on Tests, Survey, and Pools in the drop-down menu.

Click on the Tests link.

All the tests you have created will be shown on the screen.

Find the test that you want to add questions. Click on the drop-down arrow next to it and click on Edit.

Click on the Create Question icon, and select Essay from the drop-down menu.

Add your question text.

Assign a point value for the question.

The answer box appears next but unless you want to create sample questions and answers you may leave this blank.

You may want to define Categories and Keywords if necessary.

When finished, click on Submit to create the question. 

A new screen appears and your question has now been created.
