How to Add a Thread to a Discussion

If in the discussion settings you allow students to create new threads, they will be able to create threads.  By clicking on Add New Thread the students can create new lines of discussion within a given discussion topic.

A new screen will open in which the subject line and message need to be filled out before posting.

It is also possible to attach files to the post.

Click Submitto create the thread or click Save Draftto store a draft of the post.

This function just adds a new thread within a discussion and should not be confused with adding a new forum.
