How can I increase the font size of messages I am
reading?
To change the font in GroupWise, you need to change the settings in your
Windows properties.
Is there anything I can do to prevent someone
from knowing whether or not I have opened their message?
No. You cannot disable someone's ability to check the message properties.
Opening the message then closing it and marking it "Read Later" will not work
either. Nor will printing it without opening it.
Can I create a signature for my
GroupWise messages?
Can I find out whether someone read my e-mail
message?
Inside the Sent Items folder, select the mail message that you
want to check and double-click on it to open it. Go to the
Properties tab. The status of the mail message will be listed
under "Action."
What happens if I try to retract and resend a
message from someone who has already opened the message?
The recipient will just receive a duplicate copy of the message.
I am subscribing to a discussion list and need to
include a blank subject line in my message, but my request is rejected because
GroupWise automatically puts in a subject. Is there a way I can send a message
with no subject?
To force GroupWise to send a message with no subject, press the spacebar once
in the subject field.
If I am the person who scheduled a meeting and now I have to cancel it, how do I delete it from everybody's calendars?
When I print my calendar for 8:00 to 4:30,
GroupWise prints only 8:00 to 4:00. What logic is it using?
GroupWise appears to print the calendar only in whole hours. Change your work
hours in Tools, Options, Date & Time
to 8:00 to 5:00 if you want to display the 4:00-5:00 period. Leave the Busy
search time at 8:00 to 4:30.
More questions on the calendar can be found on the Novell's
GroupWise Cool Solutions: Calendar Questions page.
I deleted an address book. Can I restore it?
Unfortunately, there is no way of undeleting either address books or address
book entries.
Can I copy entries from an address book to
which I only have read-only rights into my own address book that I can edit and
manipulate?
Yes, you can. Select the name(s) listed in the address book, open the Edit
menu and select "Copy To," then select the address book you want to copy the
name(s) into.
How do I change the order of my folders?
If you create a folder, then realize you want it in a different
position, right mouse click on the folder and drag it to a new position
in the Folder List. You will be prompted to specify where you want the
folder to move--into, below, or above the current folder level.
I gave someone proxy access to view my calendar, but they
are telling me that they don't have access. What is the problem?
First, check to make sure his name appears in the proxy access list
(Tools/Options/Security/Proxy Access). Then, click on the name to select it, and
make sure the Access rights you want assigned to the person appear check marked
below.
Second, make sure that the person actually did his part in receiving
the rights you gave him by clicking on the proxy icon, selecting Proxy,
typing your name in the Name field, and clicking OK.
For more help on setting proxy access, see the Novell article,
Manage
Another Person's Mailbox.

GroupWise Cool Solutions: Proxy Questions page.
Can I get access to GroupWise when I am "on the road" at
a conference or on vacation?
Yes, as long as you have Internet access, you can access your GroupWise account
by going to http://gwmail.indstate.edu/.
I was typing an e-mail on Web access. When I clicked
Send, the GroupWise Web access login screen appeared and my e-mail was lost. Is
there a timeout on GroupWise Web access?
Yes, there is a 20-minute timeout for GroupWise Web access. If no
transmission occurs to or from the GroupWise post office for 20 minutes, the
user is logged out of GroupWise. This security measure is designed to prevent
others from accessing your account when you are logged in on the Web version.
Unfortunately, there is no warning of the timeout. Nor is there an offline mode
for GroupWise Web access at this time.
Try this: Create messages in a word processing application prior to
logging into GroupWise Web access. Then, paste the messages into GroupWise mail
and send them when you are online.
Or, if you see that you are interrupted or are creating a long
message, copy the contents into a word processing document BEFORE you click
send. If you do timeout, then you won't lose what you have composed.
