Connecting a Second Monitor or Using a Projector

Using a standard VGA connector on the right side, either a monitor or projector can connected to the ThinkPad. To control what is displayed on both the laptop screen and either the second monitor or projector press on the Function key and click F7 (Fn + F7 keys). Follow the on screen prompts to select the setting that works best in your situation. If you want to temporarily disable the screen saver or power saving mode during a presentation, select the Clean Desktop mode.

You can also connect your laptop to a television. To do this you need a S-video cable and a television that has a s-video input. The s-video connection is on the left side of the laptop and once you connect the cable between the television and the laptop, and you select the Dual Display option on the laptop (Fn + F7 keys) your laptop screen will be displayed on the television.
