Integrating Innovation in Instruction Grants
The Center for
Instruction, Research, and Technology (CIRT) offers small grants to
enhance the quality of instruction at Indiana State University.
Grants of up to $500 support faculty exploration and integration of
new ideas and teaching methodologies. Activities must surpass
traditional expectations of course development and revision, and
must demonstrate clear expectations for improved student learning.
Preference will be
given to projects that

enhance success and retention in first year programs,
·
integrate individual mobile computing into the curriculum,
·
address priority areas of the department, college, or university,
and/or
·
have a
broad impact on students.
Applications
Applications are accepted throughout the year, to apply faculty should complete the
Integrating
Innovation in Instruction Grant Application. Projects that
require more than the maximum award are eligible for support up to
$500; those applications must be accompanied by a letter(s) of
commitment for the matching funds. Applications should be submitted
via e-mail to
IT-Grants@indstate.edu.
Application
Review
Applications will be reviewed and scored according to the
I³
rubric.
Applicants will be notified of application status as soon as the
decisions are made, generally within one month of receipt of
application.
Post-Award Information
Recipients may be asked to consult with CIRT staff to ensure the
quality of project outcomes. Recipients may be asked to demonstrate
their innovation for inclusion in an online video archive. A brief
final report and copy of financial documentation is due upon project
completion.
