AdvancED Awards 2009-2010
Indiana Excellence In Education
Award
This is a
state-level award presented in each state to one individual who has demonstrated
unparalleled leadership in promoting and advancing excellence in
education.
Nominees may be teachers,
administrators, board of education members, or community
representatives. Many
individuals are making outstanding contributions to our young people and
should have the opportunity to be recognized.
Each state level recipient will receive a certificate and award
trophy to be presented at a state-level function.
Excellence in Education Nomination Form
AdvancED Leadership Award
The AdvancED Leadership Award is presented to an individual who has
demonstrated unparalleled leadership in promoting and advancing
excellence in education policy at the state, regional, and/or national
levels. Nominees may be
representatives from the private or public sectors, government, or
business.
One award recipient
will be selected for this honor and will
receive the AdvancED Leadership Award at
the
2010 AdvancED Awards Gala and will be allowed approximately two minutes to accept
this award.

AdvancED Innovation Award
The
AdvancED Innovation
Award is presented to an individual/institution who has demonstrated
unparalleled leadership in creating and promoting innovative
opportunities for the education community.
Nominees may be teachers, administrators, representatives from
private or public sectors, community representatives, or institutions.
One award recipient will be selected for this honor and
will
receive the AdvancED
Innovation Award at the
2010 AdvancED Awards Gala and will be
allowed approximately two minutes to accept this award.

AdvancED Global Educator Award
AdvancED Global Educator Award is presented to individuals who have
demonstrated unparalleled leadership in promoting and advancing
excellence in global and international education.
Nominees may be teachers, administrators, board of education

will receive the AdvancED Global Educator Award at the
2010 AdvancEDAwards Gala and will be allowed approximately two minutes to accept
this award.

KEYS Online Every year, many schools contact us about finding
good survey instruments. We have investigated this issue, and the Indiana NCA is pleased
to partner with NEA in bringing you an exciting opportunity to enhance your school improvement efforts. Years ago, NEA developed a wonderful survey called KEYS Online. It is based on the effective schools research and can be administered to
teachers, administrators, support staff, district personnel, parents (also a Spanish version), community members and students (high school
level). Not only is this a top quality survey, but it is also free to schools affiliated with ISTA! It is done completely online and is also completely anonymous.
Because you are an NCA school, the Indiana State Office can serve as your facilitator, providing information, training, and support
throughout the process. I know that this may sound like what your mother warned you about…”If it sounds too good to be true…,” but having seen
