The Journalism program gives you theoretical and practical experience. You will develop an unerstanding of the news media's essential role in society and get practical reporting experience. You can take classes in publications design, magazine writing, newspaper management, and media ethics. You will do an internship to give you professional experience. Journalism students are encouraged to do a minor in another department to gain a broader liberal arts background. This area gives more than $30,000 in scholarships to talented journalism majors each year. Students may earn either the Bachelor of Arts of the Bachelor of Science degree.
