Residency Purpose

The intent of the residency is to provide opportunities for you to become involved with your colleagues and acquainted with the community of scholars. It combines academic preparation with reflection on scholarly work while developing an intellectual perspective about the issues and problems in your discipline of study. In addition, residency provides an opportunity for networking and social bonding among your fellow cohort.

The Ph.D. in Technology Management relies extensively on alternative communication technologies to deliver key components of the doctoral program. These same technologies will be used to provide intensive interactive communication between students and faculty at the consortium universities. Those same desired intellectual and socialization characteristics experienced in the more traditional residency are designed into the combined campus experiences supported by the development of a Professional Portfolio.
