Dr. Joyce Patrick Department of Biology DePauw University |
Dr. Patrick received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Shawnee State University in 2005, and her Ph.D. in Microbiology from Indiana University Bloomington in 2011. She did her thesis work under the direction of Dr. Daniel Kearns, studying the regualtion of cell motility in the soil microbe B. subtilis. Currently she is an Assistant Professor at DePauw University. In the future she will begin examining swarming motility in natural environments and developing tools for increasing isolation of bacterial species from soils.
