Mechanical Engineering Technology

BACHELOR DEGREE-COMPLETION PROGRAM

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The Mechanical Engineering Technology Program is open to eligible in-state and many out-of-state applicants; currently, the program is not open to international students. The program is designed for transfer students. Specific freshman and sophomore courses listed below must have been completed.

Admission—Minimum Requirements

To be admitted to the online learning program in mechanical engineering technology, the applicant must be admitted to the University as a degree-seeking student and satisfy the following:

  • An associate of applied science (A.A.S.) or an associate of science (A.S.) in design technology, mechanical engineering technology, or a related major from a regionally accredited college or university.
     
  • Courses in the following areas as we do not offer these course online:

      -  Computer-aided drafting/design
      -  Analytical geometry
      -  College algebra
      -  English composition
      -  Speech
      -  Physics (not a technical physics course)
      -  Chemistry (not a technical chemistry course)
      -  Manufacturing processes
      -  Fundamentals of electronics

Indiana State Online Students Residing Outside of Indiana: Each of the states has its own approval processes for out-of-state institutions offering online degrees. While Indiana State University endeavors to offer all of its programs to as wide an audience as possible, all ISU online programs may not be available in all states. Currently, online programs are not offered in the states of Arkansas and Massachusetts. To check the status of programs available in a particular state, visit program availability.
