Nursing (RN to BS)

BACHELOR DEGREE-COMPLETION PROGRAM

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The Nursing Program is open to eligible in-state and many out-of-state applicants. The program is designed for transfer students.

Admission—Minimum Requirements

To be admitted to the distance learning program in nursing, the applicant must be admitted to the University as degree-seeking student and satisfy the following:

  1. Current licensure as a registered nurse in the United States
     
  2. An associate of science (A.S.) in nursing from Ivy Tech Community College, Vincennes University, or another program accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). Graduates of diploma programs or non-NLNAC accredited associate degree nursing programs may apply for review by the department chairperson. For details, refer to Nursing Admission Portfolio.

Note:  Once admitted to the University, students must apply for admission to the Baccalaureate Degree Nursing Program. Deadlines for application to the Nursing Program are: November 1 (spring entry) and June 1 (fall entry). For instructions, visit the Nursing Program.



Distance Education Students Residing Outside of Indiana:  Each of the states has its own approval processes for out-of-state institutions offering distance education. While Indiana State University endeavors to offer all of its programs to as wide an audience as possible, all ISU distance education programs may not be available in all states.

The Catalog of Indiana State University is the document of authority for all students. The requirements given in the catalog supersede information issued by any academic department, program, college, or school. The University reserves the right to change the requirements at any time.
