Connecting to ISU
Most courses require high-speed (broadband) Internet connection (for example, cable, DSL, T1, or faster).
Hardware Requirements
Desktop Videoconferencing courses -- and selected Web courses -- require a headset (or microphone and speakers)
and a web camera. Almost any PC- or MAC-compatible speakers and web camera will work.
If you do not own a web camera and headset, see Guidelines.
Software
Microsoft Word (and other software) is free for ISU students as part of the Student Technology Fee. For details,
see http://downloads.indstate.edu
In a few cases, you may need specialized (and expensive) software required for the course. If you need access to AutoCad, Electronic Workbench, or SPSS, this software can be accessed through a system called Windows Terminal Server (WTS). If you need one of these packages, go to: http://ithelp.indstate.edu/remote_access/wts.html
