CIMT 606 Foundations of Libraries and Librarianship -- 3 credit hours

The focus of the course is to expose students to the multifaceted functions and responsibilities of libraries and librarianship and their roles in society. It will provide a broad basic knowledge to assist in further career decision planning and a more comprehensive understanding of the mission of school and public libraries in providing information services.

Delivery: Internet (Web)

Scheduling: This is a three-hour, semester-based course, with starting periods in the spring and fall semesters.



Prior to enrolling, individuals should contact Education Student Services if they have questions regarding course applicability for their particular career goals. Pre-approval by Education Student Services is required before enrolling in any course intended to be used for Indiana license renewal.
