SPED 698D Advanced Topics in Special Education: Special Education Law -- 3 credit hours

This course addresses all major statutes governing services to students with disabilities with particular attention being directed toward the Individuals with Disabilities Improvement Act of 2004, the corresponding regulations, recent revision to Indiana's Article 7. Other statutes and related topics will be presented.

Delivery: Individual study plus four one-half-day, on-campus seminars

Scheduling: This is a three-hour, semester-based course offered during the summer.



Prior to enrolling, individuals should contact Education Student Services if they have questions regarding course applicability for their particular career goals. Pre-approval by Education Student Services is required before enrolling in any course intended to be used for Indiana license renewal.
