CTE 484 Post-Secondary Technical Education—3 credits.
Technical education in a post-secondary institution. Evolution, uniqueness, mission, needs of the student, planning for the future, and higher education.

Application of evaluation techniques to competency-based instruction including use of profile charts, job descriptions, and performance assessment.

HRD 489 Adult Learners in Higher Education and Training—3 credits.
This course provides instructors of adult learners with the knowledge and skills needed to apply the principles of adult learning in higher education and training.

HRD 369 Developing Occupational and Training Programs—3 credits.
Students will receive an introduction to various strategies for job and task analysis which will be used to develop a duty/task list. With that analysis, the student will design a course of instruction in his or her area of expertise.

Instructional procedures and practices in the classroom and laboratory environment. Emphasis placed upon the non-traditional learner in post-secondary setting.

Distance Education Students Residing Outside of Indiana: Each of the states has its own approval processes for out-of-state institutions offering distance education. While Indiana State University endeavors to offer all of its programs to as wide an audience as possible, all ISU distance education programs may not be available in all states.
