RESOURCES FOR ISU FACULTY

ISU faculty members who are interested in developing distance courses and programs may benefit from the array of services offered by the University's Office of Distance Support Services.

Services include (but are not limited to):

  • Marketing

  • Testing services, including proctored exams
  • One-stop student services designed for distance learners

A variety of on-line publications and statewide resources are available to distance learners at Indiana State University:

This free e-newsletter provides just-in-time information on registration, financial aid, scholarships, student organizations, new distance courses and programs, and campus news. Currently, there are over 3,000 subscribers.

ISU Statewide Coordinators
ISU has four coordinators situated throughout Indiana (in our partner institution facilities) to provide to help students with any of the processes necessary to start and complete ISU courses, degrees, and professional development programs.

Assistance with admissions, registration, financial aid, proctored exams, correspondence lesson submission, web courses, and arrangements for receive sites and videotapes for televised courses.

::  Learning Centers

College Cooperative Southeast

The College Cooperative Southeast has learning centers located throughout southeastern Indiana to serve you and your distance learners. Each learning center is equipped with internet-connected computers and is capable of hosting televised courses.

SCEA

The Community Learning Centers of South Central Indiana (SCEA) includes a cluster of seven learning centers located in the following Indiana counties: Greene, Jackson, Lawrence, Martin, Perry, Orange, and Washington counties.

Staffed with student services coordinators, these learning centers are designed to help students succeed in their distance courses. Each learning center has the technical equipment to host televised classes. Computer labs are available for students to complete web-based courses, and learning center personnel are available to proctor exams, administer placement tests, and provide a direct link to the ISU campus.
