Online Foundational Studies Faculty Certificate Course
The Online Foundational Studies Faculty Certificate Course was developed to provide faculty with the necessary contacts and skills needed to develop foundational studies courses to be offered at a distance. This program, over the last year and a half, has assisted 48 faculty members in the course design process. Some aspects covered in the course are digital copyright issues, course design considerations, developing online activities, incorporating developmental writing into your course, engaging your students, and so much more. Please click below to fill out the application, and review a copy of the Spring 2013 course calendar. Applications are due to Samantha Penney, samantha.penney@indstate.edu (DH239) by January 18, 2013 at noon.
Faculty Guidelines
The Distance Education department was charged with the task of examining the best practices at peer institutions, examining current practices at ISU, and drafting a set of proposed guidelines that would be used to conduct classes and programs through ISU's Distance Education. Guidelines for administrating distance education are now available to ISU faculty, students, and staff.

Distance Delivery Classrooms
Our Distance Delivery Classrooms use various technology in them, such as Blackboard Collaborate and Tegrity. The classrooms that use a student director to manage the systems are located in DH104, TC111, and UH008. These rooms contain seating and computers for 16 students. Our new classroom in DH303 is a mobile classroom with furniture that can be moved around at the teachers discretion. It seats 30. We will soon have a new classroom in TA229 that seats 24.
