Goal One:

Enhancing the visibility of diversity on the ISU campus

Action steps:

          1. Enhance Office of Diversity and Council on Diversity Web sites.

          2. Create and maintain a campus-wide diversity calendar.

          3. Support student-initiated diversity events.

          4.Disseminate research on diversity as a key component of educational excellence.

Goal Two:

Supporting access and success for groups historically underrepresented in higher education in the student body, staff, faculty and administration

Action Steps:

          1. Work with programs, departments and colleges on strategies in support of recruiting more 
              staff, faculty and administrators from underrepresented groups.

           2. Work with administrators on policies and practices in support of recruitment, hiring,
               promotion and retention of a diverse faculty, staff, and administrative work force.

           3. Work with all appropriate campus units on strategies to retain and graduate more   
               students from underrepresented groups.
