Organization Audits and Program Review

Purpose: To review/assess current and archival institution, college, division, and unit level diversity related assessments, self-studies, and reports and to use that data/information to inform a focused study of the climate of support for diversity at ISU as a means of addressing priority 2, “conduct a preliminary assessment of factors that facilitate and those that inhibit a culture of support for diversity.” Sub-committee will collaborate with the Recruitment, Hiring Practices, and Procedures Sub-committee to jointly collect the requisite data needed to also address priority 1, “conduct an assessment of the ways in which diversity at the university does and does not represent the diversity of Indiana and the nation at the student, faculty, support staff and administration levels.” Chair: Joshua Powers

Recruiting, Hiring Practices and Procedures

Purpose: To review/assess current faculty, staff, and administration recruitment and hiring policies, procedures, and actual practices with respect to diversity as a means of addressing priority 3, “evaluate and recommend faculty, staff, and administration recruitment and hiring policies, procedures, and practices with respect to diversity as a groundwork for follow-on work in the arena of retention and promotion.” Sub-committee will collaborate with the Organization Audit and Program Review Sub-committee to jointly collect the requisite data needed to address priority 1, “conduct an assessment of the ways in which diversity at the university does and does not represent the diversity of Indiana and the nation at the student, faculty, support staff and administration levels.” Chair: Sheila Johnson

Grievance Process

Purpose: To develop an appeal process to be added to University Affirmative Action procedures, the result of which will be a recommendation for disposition to the University President. This is related to priority 4. Chair: Carmen Tillery
