Early Childhood Education (Graduate)

The Department of Elementary, Early and Special Education offers a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.  The program consists of 32 credits.  Graduate students who are looking for the flexibility in distance learning are encouraged to enroll in this program.  Seventy-five percent of the courses required for the master program are offered via distance learning format.

The master degree program provides early childhood educators with theories and practices to become leaders in the field of early childhood education.  The program offers students opportunity to learn different developmentally appropriate teaching pedagogies, discuss issues and trends, address leadership roles and conduct research.  The early childhood program is designed to accommodate a diverse population of students who are interested in working with children from birth to age of 8, their families and the community.
