Kappa Delta Pi

Kappa Delta Pi, an International Honor Society in Education, is a
society of, about and for educators. Selection as a member of Kappa Delta Pi
is based on high academic achievement, a commitment to education as a
career, and a professional attitude taht ensures steady growth in the
profession. Kappa Delta Pi has over 55,000 actvive members that include
outstanding leaders in our Laurate Chapter, National State Teachers of the
Year, The American Teacher Award winners, National Teacher Hall of Fame
menbers, and Golden Apple Teachers. Membership in Kappa Delta Pi signifies
more than than a well-deserved line on a resume. members have the
responsibility as a recognized honor student and honored aducator to
maintain the high ideals of the Ssociety and to extend its influence. The
Society's goal is to provide resources and services at each stage of
members' choice.

Mission Statement: The purpose of the Association shall be to
develop an understanding of the education profession, to provide a united
student voice in matters affecting their profession, to influence the
conditions under which prospective educators are prepared, to advance the
interests and welfare of students preparing for a career in education, to
promote and protect human and civil rights, to promote cultural diversity,
and to stimulate the highest ideals of professional ethics, standards, and
attitudes in pre-professional educators of Indiana.
The ISEA Executive Board has the authority to determine goals and
activities based on the resolutions set by the Representative Assembly.
