English Teaching

English Teaching Major (Degree Requirements)

To earn an English Teaching degree, students complete general education writing courses designated for English majors and thirteen courses (thirty-nine credit hours) in English and American literature and the English language. Teaching majors also satisfy state licensure requirements through course work in the College of Education and successful completion of a student teaching experience.
