Over the course of two days, students, staff, faculty, administrators, alumni, trustees, and Foundation board members celebrated Dean Sauer’s contributions to the Department, College, University, and community. On Friday, May 21, an all-campus reception was held in the Heritage Lounge. On Saturday, May 22, a dinner (and fundraiser) was held at the Hulman Memorial Student Union. Emceed by Rob Perrin, Chairperson of the Department of English, the dinner included comments by Dan Bradley, the eleventh president of ISU; Jack Maynard, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs; Gene Crume, President of the ISU Foundation; Brad Balch, Dean of the Bayh College of Education; Joe Weixlmann, past Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences; and Tom Sauer, the guest of honor. On behalf of the University, Fran Lattanzio, Professor of Art, presented Sauer with two photographic studies. Contributions from the Saturday event will fund the Thomas G.
