Come to ISU - Promoting ISU as the School of Choice

"An educator may be rejected by a student and must not object to this.  But he or she man never, under any circumstances, regardless of what they do, reject a single student."

-          Robert Greenleaf

Indiana State University, at its core, is a place of opportunity, caring and support.  Students can thrive in an environment that supports exploration and promotes personal and professional growth.  Skills necessary to enter the world of work after graduation as a highly desirable employee can be developed and perfected over the students' academic lifespan.

Employees knowledgeable about the University, willing to assist students and other constituents in successfully meeting challenges and overcoming obstacles are vitally important in their overall success.  This component of training will focus on the development of positive and non-manipulative skills of influence.  By learning how to be informative and supportive to others, the probability that the choices made throughout the academic lifespan of our students will be positive and complimentary to their own lives.

"Never forget; the best course of action is to assume that people with whom we work don't even know they don't know!  The skilled use of questions will help you understand what it is the "other" may know, and with that knowledge, you can present necessary information to assist in decision-making."
