From their early beginnings, Indiana and Terre Haute have had much to celebrate. In December, 1816, President James Madison approved Indiana's admission into the union as the19th state. In that same year, the village of Terre Haute, then part of Knox County, was platted for real estate development.

We all know that Indiana is the Hoosier state and Indianapolis is the capital. But, do you know what the word "Hoosier" really means? Do you know your bridge club or euchre club could be breaking the law? From inventions to famous and infamous people, from cities and quaint villages to remarkable geological formations, Indiana has them all. We will delve into a little history and share some facts and myths associated with Terre Haute and Indiana. Come, reminisce and celebrate with us!
