Budding Artists: Art for Kids With Special Needs

Ages: 5-11

This class will supplement your child’s development and learning, by introducing art media including oil pastels, watercolor paints, and paintable clay. On the first day, students will create and decorate a portfolio to contain their artwork. At the beginning of each class students will work on incorporating multiple shapes into their “daily drawing”. Class will feature a lesson that explores the elements of design and a vocabulary word or two. Students will learn about color with watercolor paint, line with oil pastels, and texture with tissue paper. All materials are toxic-free. Caregivers are encouraged to attend at no additional fee.
