Description

MINI-CAMP

Ages: 5-8

This class explores character development through enjoyable and low-pressure monologues. Students gain an understanding about what it means to be an actor while learning age-appropriate scripts, written by Tommy Jammerson, an ISU theater alumni. Classes also cover blocking, taking direction, and “owning” characters. Morning and afternoon classes cover different aspects of theater; students may enroll in one or both to heighten the learning experience. If enrolled in both sessions, students can bring a brown-bag lunch and spend a free, supervised lunch-break with the teachers and CSA staff. The camp culminates with a staged showcase at the end of the week.
