Community Fair

The ISU senior community health class has organized a Community Fair to be held at Ryves Hall, 1356 Locust St., Terre Haute on Wednesday, March 19 from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. The public is invited to attend. Mayor Duke Bennett will be participate in the fair as part of his “52 Weeks of Fitness” initiative and is slated to be there at 2 p.m. There are more than 20 outside exhibitors (see list below). ISU community health nursing students will have informational and interactive booths as well as perform blood pressure screening and BMIs. The outdoor displays include emergency vehicles including police cars, ambulance, and Terre Haute S.W.A.T. Team Humvee.

Health fair participants include Area Health Education Center (A.H.E.C.), Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts, C.A.R.E. Ambulance, Chances and Service for Youth (C.A.S.Y.), Council On Domestic Abuse (C.O.D.A.), Indiana University School of Dentistry, March of Dimes, Red Cross. Terre Haute Fire Department, Terre Haute Police Department, Terre Haute S.W.A.T. Unit, Terre Haute Park Department, Union Hospital Diabetes Educator, Union Hospital Dietetic Educator, Vigo County Park Department, Vigo County Health Department, and Vigo County Public Library.
