Research on how students do library research

Faculty are sometimes frustrated with the quality of the research and writing assignments that students submit. But students do not wake up one morning as competent researchers. What does the research say about the assumptions, attitudes, and habits of students as they learn how to conduct research using information sources? This session will cover some of the research findings and consider implications for teaching strategies. The facilitator is Shelley Arvin.
