This seminar introduces students to music business principles that infuse all aspects of today's music/entertainment industry—and enables students to explore career options in the music/entertainment industry.
The seminar touches on aspects such as artist management, the record industry, music publishing, concert promotion, and music retail/merchandising. Students apply their knowledge through practical exercises and music production activities.
By the end of the seminar, students will have produced marketing materials, designed album covers, been exposed to audio recording techniques, and have a broader appreciation of the depth of the music and entertainment industry.
