Filing the FAFSA:
Important Dates and Deadlines

Fall 2012 – Summer II 2013 Academic Year

  • January 1, 2012:  First day to file the FAFSA
  • March 1, 2012:  ISU recommends filing the FAFSA by March 1
  • March 10, 2012:  State of Indiana deadline for filing the FAFSA
  • May 15, 2012:  Last day to resolve edits for the State Student Assistance Commission of Indiana (SSACI) award
  • June 30, 2013:  Last day to file the FAFSA for aid for 2012-2013 academic year

Fall 2013 – Summer II 2014 Academic Year

  • January 1, 2013:  First day to file the FAFSA
  • March 1, 2013:  ISU recommends filing the FAFSA by March 1
  • March 10, 2013:  State of Indiana deadline for filing the FAFSA
  • May 15, 2013:  Last day to resolve edits for the State Student Assistance Commission of Indiana (SSACI) award
  • June 30, 2014:  Last day to file the FAFSA for aid for 2013-2014 academic year
