Indiana State University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association. Academic programs across the colleges are accredited by more than 30 different agencies.

In addition to more than 80 majors, the University offers more than 80 minors in areas ranging from accounting to foreign language to women's studies. A minor is an excellent way for students to increase their employability and to supplement skills and abilities offered in their undergraduate majors.
