Advocacy Network

Welcome to ISU’s Advocacy Network -- composed of alumni and community partners who are committed to educating elected officials about the importance of Indiana State University's role in higher education.

Indiana's political leaders and legislators need to hear from concerned citizens, voters and alumni that public support for higher education must be a priority if our state's economy is going to flourish.

Being an advocate for Indiana State does not require a lot of time or experience in dealing with elected officials. In fact, it can be as simple as attending a “Cracker Barrel” session put on by local State legislators, a phone call or e-mail, or writing a letter. Legislators appreciate hearing from constituents, and a conversation in person carries more weight than you realize. This personalizes for the Legislator that you, as a citizen, care about Indiana State University, and the important role that our institution plays in educating the young people of our State.
