About Dual Credit

Dual credit earned through the College Challenge Program is recorded on an official Indiana State University transcript. This transcript is part of the student's permanent record at ISU. Students who wish to use ISU credit at another institution must request an official transcript be sent to the intended college or university.

Credit Use at Indiana State University

Students who decide to pursue an ISU degree after graduation from high school typically may apply all college challenge credit earned toward completion of an ISU degree. However, it is best to check with the ISU admissions office to verify how a particular course will satisfy degree requirements.

Credit Transfer to Public Institutions in Indiana

Dual credit College Challenge courses transfer (assuming a grade of "C" or better) to any public college or university in Indiana if an equivalent course exists on the receiving campus. If no specific course match exists, the receiving college may give general elective credit.

For information on how a particular course transfers to Indiana colleges and universities, visit the Indiana Core Transfer Library at TransferIN.net.

Students must contact the admissions office at the appropriate college or university to verify transferability and applicability of a particular College Challenge course.

Credit Transfer to Private or Out-of-State Institutions

Most public colleges and universities (and some private schools) accept transfer credit. Students must contact the admissions office at the appropriate college or university to verify transferability and applicability of a particular College Challenge course.
