University Faculty Senate
Welcome:
Indiana
State University has a long and proud history of strong faculty
governance.
The faculty collectively, and through their elected representatives, are
empowered by the Faculty Constitution approved by the Board of
Trustees over thirty years ago. This Constitution is based on
the principle of shared governance. Thus the document defines
the areas of the faculty’s primary and advisory authority, as
well as the structures and operations of the governing bodies
through which this authority is exercised—the Faculty Senate and its
standing committees.
This
website is an evolving resource designed by faculty for faculty.
Its purpose is to provide information on Senate activities to the
campus and interested members of the community at large. But
especially it is designed to make faculty government accessible to
those it serves.
