University Arts Endowment Committee Report 2009-2010

The Arts Endowment Committee met twice in Fall 2009 to evaluate grant applications and award funds. After the organizational meeting in early Fall, the Committee conducted an email vote to allow an award recipient from the previous year to re-allocate his remaining grant monies, as travel cost more than he had anticipated while his supplies were less expensive. The Committee met on 16 November 2009 to vote on the applications. At that meeting, three proposals were reviewed, and the Committee voted to fully fund two of them, while returning the third to OSP due to the frequency of award clause (applicant had received awards in 2007 and 2008, and thus was ineligible for 2009-2010). Letters were sent to the two successful applicants, and the remaining funds will roll over into next year’s budget.
