The Arts Endowment Committee met twice during the Fall 2010 semester. At the September 8, 2010 meeting the committee elected officers, selected a representative to the Dreiser Research/Creativity Award Committee and discussed ways to promote the Creative Arts Grant to faculty, including involving department chairs in the dissemination of information about the grant and issuing a global call for proposals. The committee also reviewed section 246.10.1 of the ISU Policies, Bylaws to the Faculty Constitution that relates to the Membership of the Arts Endowment Committee and noted that the ex officio member representing the Faculty Senate Executive Committee was not listed.

The committee met a second time on November 10, 2010 to review the guidelines and criteria for the Creative Arts Grant award and to discuss the two proposals received by the committee. The committee tabled one proposal and requested additional information from the applicant; and it awarded full funding to the second proposal. The committee continued its discussion of possible ways to increase requests for proposals and thus create a bigger impact for the arts on campus.

Upon receipt of the additional information for the tabled request the committee voted via email on November 17, 2010 to fund the proposal.
