Dr. Kuntal Bhattacharyya enriches his current association in academe with many years of corporate experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, financial economics and consulting. Kuntal holds a Ph.D. in Operations Management from Kent State University and an M.B.A. in Management from the University of Akron. In addition, he is also a certified risk manager (CRM). Dr. Bhattacharyya currently serves as the Executive Director of Graduate Programs at the Scott College of Business, Indiana State University. He also continues as Chairperson of the Marketing & Operations dept. and in his dual role as an Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management and Director of the Center for Supply Management Research (CSMR), he strives to bridge the gap between academia and the industry by providing an experiential learning experience to future business leaders, while contributing towards academic research - especially from a practitioner's viewpoint. Kuntal's research has been published in esteemed outlets like the Journal of Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Management Review, Strategic Outsourcing, Journal of Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Advanced Mathematical Modelling, among others.

Current Research Interests: My research focuses on the intersection of global supply chain risk management and industry 4.0 attributes. Currently, I am investigating risk of managing humanitarian supply chains in the bottom of the pyramid and the utilization of technology (Block Chain) to create transparency of information interchange among stakeholders therein.
