Dr. Weber has been employed as a social worker since 1981. Her experiences include medical social work (home health, extended care, hospital, hospice, nephrology), case management (Federal Bureau of Prison, social welfare), and clinical social work (Indiana Department of Corrections, clinical services). Dr. Weber continues to work as a clinical social worker.

She has been employed full time at Indiana State University since 1999. Dr. Weber served in the Department of Social Work at Indiana State from 1999 until 2014 at which time she moved into the Associate Dean position (Students and Community Relations) for the College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services.
